The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 11 p.m. bulletin on Tuesday that other areas under Signal No. 2 are central and southern portions of Aurora, southeastern portion of Nueva Ecija, Quezon including Polillo Islands, and northern and eastern portions of Bulacan.

The weather bureau said Signal No. 3 may still be raised in Bicol Region provinces, Metro Manila, and portions of CALABARZON and Central Luzon once Ulysses intensifies into a typhoon in the next 12-24 hours.
In its latest bulletin, PAGASA located Ulysses 250 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes and maintained its sustained winds of 95 kph and gusts of up to 115 kph.
It projected Ulysses will pass close to Catanduanes on Wednesday morning to afternoon, and northern portion of Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte on Wednesday afternoon to evening. It may landfall in Polillo Islands and mainland Quezon on early Thursday morning.
PAGASA deputy administrator for operations and services Dr. Landrico Dalida advised residents, especially those in Rolly-devastated Catanduanes and in Daet, Camarines Norte, to prepare for preemptive evacuation.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila may be directly hit by Ulysses once it strengthens into a typhoon, PAGASA said. Moderate to heavy rains in this area may lead to flooding and rain-induced landslides, together with Calabarzon, Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas by Thursday.
Based on current data, Ulysses is projected to hit Metro Manila, but PAGASA administrator Vicente Malano it is 'likely that its center will not directly pass through the area.' The uncertainty in its forecast track is still increasing, he added.

Ulysses will bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, and Northern Samar until Wednesday morning. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be felt over Aurora, Quezon including Polillo Islands, Marinduque, and the rest of Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas for the same timeframe.
From Wednesday morning to late evening, heavy to intense with at times torrential rains will be experienced over Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Quezon including Polillo Islands, and Marinduque due to the severe tropical storm. Moderate to heavy rains will be felt over the eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Northern Samar, and the rest of CALABARZON and Bicol Region. The rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience light to moderate with at times heavy rains.
PAGASA warned of possible flooding or landslides that may occur due to prolonged or heavy rainfall, especially in the areas it mentioned.
It also warned of a high risk storm surge of 3.0 meters over the coastal areas of Quezon including Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and the northern and eastern coastal areas of Camarines Sur.
